Hey peeps,
Just wondering if anyone has ever purchased any blades from either of them. That aside, I noticed that the quality of their blades look good from a
novice's point of view. There are a few I was really liking, and admire ValiantCo's Ginunting.
Here are a few I really liked:

Thanks, ~John

Re: www.ValiantCo.com, www.TherionArms.com ...ever bought from them?
Fri, February 9, 2007 - 8:50 AMThe first one, the Pedang Rusa, has a pointed antler "Puno" (pronounced "pune-yo"). This section of the handle is used for locks, but more importantly
its used for what are called "Puno strikes" ...I wouldn't want to get hit in the eye with a strike from that lol!! -

Yes I respond to my own posts lol :D

Fri, February 9, 2007 - 9:48 AMTherion arms is a guy I used to bid against on ebay for stuff. He would buy things that were worth good money, that people didn't know what they had.. then mark the item up and resell. -

Fri, February 9, 2007 - 10:01 AMThat bastard!!! :P
I've seen a couple of his antique and ethnographic Phil. items, and they look like run of the mill items that you purchase for $4-5 dollars tops in a Phil. marketplace..
Other stuff isn't bad, but the worst is that "mystery talibong" lol... I've seen him trying to sell that thing on ebay a few times, haha...
Would like to know how his reproduction items fare, though...

Re: www.ValiantCo.com, www.TherionArms.com ...ever bought from them?
Fri, February 9, 2007 - 1:15 PMReally? So now I've heard 2 different views on Cas stuff. I heard Cas stuff wasn't worth the price, and unbalanced. One thing which both therion and www.traditionalfilipinoweapons.com claim is that their weapons are made in the Philippines... the latter I have also heard contradicting stories on, but then again most of the good testimonials I've read were by students of the owner's, a guy named Ron. I've only seen one review of ValiantCo which was a Damascus blemished item which was sold for full price. ValiantCo claimed that the pitting is common with Damascus but... that's another thread, and another forum :P
