I loved my Boye folder, but have always preferred the simplicity and reliability of a fixed blade. When I saw that Boye is now making a fixed blade from their dendritic cobalt steel, I could not resist! It's a bit of a splurge, but in a true survival situation, what piece of gear is more important than your knife?
This knife won't rust, even in salt water. It holds an edge for hundreds of cuts, yet sharpens quickly when necessary. It's all one piece of metal! virtually indestructable!
My new knife arrives this week. I can hardly wait!
